OUR BELIEFS
GOD
Father, Son, Holy Spirit.
There is one God, uncreated and eternally existing in three distinct Persons, each of which is fully God: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
He is the creator, sustainer, ruler, redeemer, and judge of the world.
THE BIBLE
Divine inspiration, supreme authority.
As the written Word of God, the Bible’s purpose isn’t just to inform but to transform.
The Bible is to be believed as God’s instruction in all that it teaches; obeyed, as God’s command in all that it requires; and, trusted as God’s pledge in all that it promises.
PEOPLE
Made in God's image, broken by sin.
We believe in the dignity of all people, made male and female in God's image.
Sin, though, has fractured all things and left the world in desperate need of salvation.
JESUS
His life, death, & resurrection.
We believe God's eternal Son, Jesus Christ, was born of a virgin, fully God and fully man.
He lived a perfect life, died on a cross in our place, paying the price for our sin and defeating evil.
He then physically rose again to new life and ascended to heaven as the only Saviour of the world.
The Good News of Jesus is available to all.
Tempted by Satan, humanity disobeyed God (sinned) and thereby incurred physical, spiritual and eternal death, which is separation from God.
As a consequence, all human beings are sinners by nature and therefore under condemnation.
Those who, by God’s grace and through faith, repent and trust Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord are regenerated (born again) by the Holy Spirit, delivered from sin’s condemnation and dominion, and empowered to live new lives.
SALVATION
HOLY SPIRIT
Leads us to repentance, unites us with Christ.
We believe the Holy Spirit dwells within believers to comfort, counsel, empower, and lead them. He then gives them gifts to help them serve God and one another in the church.
All the gifts of the Spirit continue today and are to be used for the building up of the body and the evangelism of the nations.
THE TRUTH
The body of Christ
We believe the Church is the body of Christ (both local and universal).
This "priesthood of all believers" is given life by the Spirit, and endowed with the Spirit's gifts to worship God and proclaim the gospel, promoting justice and love.
THE FUTURE
Jesus is coming again!
We believe in the personal and visible return of Jesus to fulfill the purposes of God.
He will raise all people to judgement, bringing eternal life to the redeemed and eternal condemnation to the lost.
